I love to go a-wandering, along the mountain track…
and as I go, I love to sing, a knapsack on my back!”
The last time we walked here below the Box Springs Mountains, the grass was completely brown–it’s hard to imagine now with all of this growth, and the tiny yellow and white wildflowers everywhere.
After our hike, a local friend and scientist gave us this tidbit of advice– “It’s early but rattlesnake season is already upon us, so keep your eyes open…” Probably good that we took our walk very late in the day!!
