Make a picture, it’ll last longer!

Before we went camping last week I whipped up a little book, the easiest way I know how, with a single signature and a pamphlet stitch.  To give it certain character right from the start, I tea-dyed the heavy paper pages before I’d torn them down to size, and used a piece of hand-printed paper for the cover.  The book was mostly completed while on our camping trip, sketched and painted from memory or life depending on the moment.  As I write this, there is still one page left incomplete– a project for the weekend, if I find the time.

That’s the trip in a nutshell, and although I couldn’t possibly document everything, this was a great way to live in the moment and capture it at the same time.
