Autumn in December, that’s what it looks like to me.

If those leaves happened to be the cold, white, wet stuff, the kids would be outside inventing the same kinds of games  in it, and surely it would be just as beautiful.   Just as Christmas is Christmas whatever it looks like,  Autumn is Autumn whenever she arrives–but maybe somebody should tell her that winter is only days away.
